meenah is the single most evil being in existence in this story and she wiped out the entire human race and murdered two of the protagonists in cold blood
i don’t care how cute she is
it seems we share a similar problem
bringing this sentiment over into my fandom

justawordshaker:
In regards to the last post about Loki
can we just talk about
Thanos’ little speech at the end of The Avengers
about how to take over Earth
would be courting Death
and how apparently this Infinity gauntlet reverses Death?
let’s talk about that for a minute
Okay!
Well actually that wasn’t Thanos talking at the end of the film, that was The Other talking to Thanos but whatever.
The reason the courting death line is awesome is because Thanos’ main schtick is actually that he had this massive boner Death back in the day (in Marvel Death is physically embodied by a female grim reaper) and everything he did was an attempt to woo her so she would love him back.
And the Infinity Gauntlet doesn’t reverse death so much as it lets you do whatever the hell you want with the laws of the universe (i.e. heal fatal wounds, stop time, turn a particular god of thunder into a statue of glass and then smash him into pieces, crush a vibranium shield with your bare hands, literally wipe out half of the universe’s sentient population with a fingersnap, etc.) and reversing death happens to be included in that list of omnipotence.
Side note using the Gauntlet Thanos handed Death’s ass to her at one point, something even Mephisto has always been afraid to attempt to do.
But yeah the line was awesome and clever and Joss was really subtle with it and praise Odin this is so very awesome
Also didn’t Gaga write Born This Way in 10 minutes or something I mean come on the chord progression was clearly only a means to serve a verbal message she wanted to deliver why are people obsessing over it?
Filed under I'd enjoy the irony here if it weren't so very very sad

full article

It breaks my heart to reblog this article because this post had 69 notes at the time I’d begun writing (and few things amuse me more than when that happens), but
So much of this article is complete bullshit
Especially the John Williams part. The Star Wars theme and Kings Row share the same opening interval and similar cinema score-recording orchestra makeups, but that’s about it. Saying that the Star Wars theme is a rip-off because it begins with a perfect fifth is ridiculous.
Oh and if Madonna’s a criminal for copying a drum beat then every Samba in existence needs to go to court just saying.
But I digress I know Beth’s reblogging this because Lady Gaga’s constantly getting flak for “ripping off” Madonna’s “iconic” image and now it’s Madonna’s turn to take some shit so let me just throw in my two cents about the biggie:
“Born This Way” is nothing like “Express Yourself.” Lyrically and thematically the messages are actually completely different and if you want to get pissed at someone for using the same damn four chords and the same groove as the artist before them then prepare to get pissed at the entire popular music industry. When the entire basis of your genre entails that it must be easy to listen to, you don’t exactly have a whole lot of options (note that Born This Way actually doesn’t follow the particular progression the link leads to, but I feel the large-but-not-even-close-to-comprehensive-list makes my point).
So again I repeat in conclusion they are not the same song in fact what makes them even more different is that Gaga actually has a voice.

so, Stark’s beard.
Does he like, have employees (I almost said “servants”) who do that for him or does he actually take the time to sculpt that design himself
because that is not a natural beard shape, take it from someone who has had a beard since he was 12
Also it’s actually a neat beard and…
Movie-universe Tony probably has Jarvis do it.
